About The Drunken Pig
The Drunken Pig food blog is influenced by the love Coorgs have for coffee brews, spirits and meat dishes. A decade ago I started cooking pork with alcohol, the name came about from there. This blog captures, recipes that I use from my travels, recipes from my family (three generational), foraging stories, childhood stories, all set against the cultural and topographical backdrop of Coorg.
I started the blog with simple home cooked dishes, with an example photograph of what my dinner plate looked like regularly. Over time, The Drunken Pig food blog has become experimental by delving into global and regional cuisines both vegetarian and non vegetarian, along with stay and food recommendations.

The Drunken Pig is now a reference to my family food blog, where the love that our family has for food, has nurtured and developed the idea of the Drunken Pig over the years. With my family, I host The Drunken Pig pop-ups, authentic Coorg dishes and homestyle recipes, curated and cooked by me and my family, served in a homestyle format, exclusive and reserved by booking.
